Haller Park

This area was once a quarry but now a thriving ecosystem of forest, grasslands and ponds with walking trails. It holds a variety of plant and animal species with sections of the park that include the game sanctuary, reptile park, fish farm, crocodile pens, giraffe viewing area and palm gardens. Haller park will give you a zoo experience in a city!

Fort Jesus

Fort Jesus built to protect the harbor by the Portuguese in the period 1593-1596 is one of the most outstanding and popular attraction for tourists, students and researchers. It is a symbol of history of Mombasa and architectural prowess of the Portuguese in designing and building martial structures. Inside the museum, you will find an intriguing collection of archaeological artifacts.

 

Mamba Village

Mamba Village situated in Nyali area in Mombasa is the largest crocodile farm in East Africa. It is the best place for anyone to see and learn about crocodiles. You get to see crocodiles and ostriches close up. Trip highlight is a spectacular scene of blood-thirsty crocodiles fighting for food during feeding time.

Shimba Hills National Reserve

Shimba hills reserve is an area of coastal rainforest, woodland, grass land and tropical. It is situated 33 Kms south from the Mombasa Island. Physical attractions in the area include the Marere Dam and the Sheldrick Waterfalls. Expect to see animals such as elephants, buffalos, giraffes, impalas, heartbeasts, rare leopards, black and white monkeys, and antelopes among others. 

Wasini Island

Wasini Island lies in southeast Kenya and its an interesting place to visit. Life in the Island is mainly influenced by Swahili culture, the indigenous flora & fauna, and the Marine National Park. The Island has only footpaths of sharp old coral or sand. No vehicles or bicycles. Transport is over the paths, or via the beaches, mainly consisting of coral and only passable with low tide. Expect to enjoy planned activities that include Snorkeling, Scuba Diving, Dhow Sailing, Dolphin Spotting, and Sunset Cruise.

Tsavo East/West

Tsavo national park is the largest national in Kenya and one of the largest in the world. It is approximately 2 and half hours drive from Mombasa town. A railway line that runs from Mombasa to the interior parts of the country passes through the park separating it into two - Tsavo East National Park and Tsavo West National Park. Tsavo is home to members of Africa’s Big 5 – Elephant, rhinoceros, buffalo, lion and leopard - as well as zebra, giraffe, antelope, spotted and striped hyena, baboons, a large population of hippo and many crocodiles.
