Mombasa

Mombasa is the biggest city in the region and has attractions for every person visiting the area. Lamu

Lamu Town on Lamu Island is Kenya's oldest town. It is characterized by ancient settlements, ruins, museums and original Swahili settlements. Lamu is home to the Maulidi Festival which features a range of activities from "donkey races to dhow-sailing events and swimming competitions. The Lamu Cultural Festival also a major tourist attraction in the area is a colourful carnival which features traditional dancing, crafts including kofia embroidery, and dhow races.[
